Tools Overview

This section of Astral is a repository of therapy tools designed to be used by therapists with their patients during sessions. These tools are built to facilitate specific therapeutic modalities and can be synchronized in real-time between the therapist and the patient.

Available Tools

👁️ Bilateral Stimulation

A real-time visual stimulus tool designed for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. It allows therapists to control a visual stimulus that is synchronized across devices, enabling remote or in-person EMDR sessions.

🫁 Breathing Exercises

An interactive visual aid for guiding patients through various breathing techniques. Supports preset patterns like Box Breathing and 4-7-8, as well as custom timings, with real-time synchronization and a standalone version for self-practice.

How it works

Tools in Astral are generally divided into two views:

  1. Therapist View: Where the therapist manages the tool's settings, controls its behavior, and monitors the session.
  2. Patient View: A simplified, distraction-free view that the patient accesses via a secure link to participate in the activity.

Real-time synchronization ensures that any adjustments made by the therapist are immediately reflected on the patient's screen.
